Group accounts
One account for your whole team, at the same rates: a monthly retainer for organizations, or a prepaid credit balance for research groups.
If your organization sends work to an editor more than a few times a year, most of the effort goes into everything around the editing: getting a quote, processing an invoice, explaining your house style again, and finding out whether anyone’s free this week.
A group account takes all of that away, at no extra cost.
Monthly retainer
For organizations with a steady publishing schedule: reports, briefs, white papers, and web copy.
- Reserved hours each month, held in our calendar before you need them
- The same small team throughout, who learn your house style and your audience
- Unused hours roll over to the following month
- Scale up, down, or pause with a month’s notice. There’s no fixed term
Prepaid credit account
For research groups and departments where several people send work in at their own pace.
- One balance for the whole team. Anyone in your group can email us a document
- Top up in any amount. Credit stays valid for two years
- A monthly statement showing every job and your remaining balance
- One invoice per top-up, so your finance office sees far less paperwork
How it works
Tell us how your team works: what you publish and roughly how much. A line or two is enough to start from.
We shape the account with you. We reply within a few hours with what we’d suggest, and adjust it until it fits.
Send work in as it’s ready. Anyone on your team emails us a document, and we edit it in tracked changes and deliver by the agreed deadline.
What it costs
An account changes the admin, not the price.
Every hour is billed at the standard rate for the service, exactly as it would be on a one-off project. There’s no account fee, no minimum, no lock-in, and no fixed term. You can send us a single document first and open an account later, if at all.
Rates are in US dollars, and we can bill in other currencies by arrangement.
Who does the work
We won’t promise that the same editor handles every document, because editors take leave and work arrives in bursts, but we can promise the same small team, who know your house style and your readers.
Let’s work out what fits
Tell us what you publish and how your team works, and we’ll shape an account around it. The two above are starting points, not the only options.
